Wall-E meets Johnny Five
I went to see Wall-E the other day, and happened to noticed an uncanny similarity between Wall-E and Johnny 5 (from Short Circuit). Have a look for yourself:
Wall-E
Johnny Five
Am I the only one seeing this? Or can you see the laziness of Disney-Pixar’s animators?
A Flock of Seagulls – I Ran
A Flock of Seagulls was started in Liverpool in early 1979, by Mike Score (who was previously a hairdresser), who played Keyboard, Guitar and sang vocals. His brother Ali played drums, and friends, Frank Maudsley played bass, and Paul Reynolds who played guitar.
The above video, I Ran (so far away) was released in 1982, and is one of the songs the band is most accredited for (from the Album A Flock of Seagulls) and has appeared in Videogames, TV shows, Films, and Adverts and is still a much love classic!
Two Posts in one day…you lucky bunch!
Okay, blogging twice within two hours isn’t healthy…and isn’t recommended! But I might aswell, so I’ve installed a new theme, with some buses in it – success! Bus in the header is Suzie, my 1971 Leyland Leopard with Plaxton Panorama Elite II bodywork (you’ve heard about it already…but I just like to ramble on about it!).
Just did some cropping of some images suitable for inclusion into the header, so I was going to code up a quick script refreshing the image to a different one at each page view – give a bit of choice and differentness (is that a word?) to the blog…
Have removed some of the crap plugins (such as the Emoticon one, and a few other ones that were useless and buggy!). So I’ve only the bare minimum of plugins, you can think of my blog as ‘Mobyfied‘!
I’ll do the Flickr one at a later date…once I get a Flickr account! Well I do have one, but I’ve only 4 photos on it, so I’ll get a goodun eventually – patience my pretties!
Okay I’m gonna go now…
The Simpsons Movie
I’ve been dying for this to be released, and now that it has I’m dying to see it! Like everyone else, I’m a big Simpsons fan – not the biggest but I know my Lenny Leonard from my Karl Karlson!
I would have gone to see it last night, but tickets have been sold out weeks if not months ago! Ah well, I’ll have to sit easy, and not be loured by the pirate DVD’s and torrents available on the net!
Sorry, but the above clip doesn’t contain the ‘Spider Pig, Spider Pig’ scene

The Dancing Priest
The best Father Ted moment ever, and my favourite – The Dancing Priest! Â

I saw this excellant film on Wednesday night, ‘Saltwater’. It is an Irish comedy film (I know they’re hard to come by!). The cast of ‘Spin the Bottle’ are in it, as well as a few other Irish actors like Gleeson and a few fair city heads. Anyway it was on BBC1 at about 1 in the morn’ but it was a great film even though I only saw half of it.
Jesus, I am only out of school and I am being sent my Booklist! C’mon. I’m out three days (well I was out three days) and that arrived at my letterbox. There’s only like seven books and a million A4 Pads and Ringbinders!
I’m off out to an Auction on Sunday. See what bargins I can pick up (If any). I’m after a bike, computer parts, moniters, phones (I know!), digital cameras, just about anything geekie really. It is all day Sunday at the Darndale sorry… Airport Hilton.
I’m off now. I have several things to do, one includes doing naughty things to a €1 coin…
